Was it the grand hall, with its aged pillars and weathered stonework, that drew us to The Mount Without? The kaleidoscopic stained-glass window? The painted blue sky and infinity symbol suspended above the congregation? Or perhaps it was the eerie openness of the graveyard, softened by lush greenery?

Nah. We just wanted a party in the crypt.

We first visited The Mount Without while browsing a small alternative market. At the time, between browsing the art prints and sipping on spiced wine, it never crossed our minds that we were standing in our future wedding venue. Yet somehow, this wonderfully unconventional place stayed with us, and when it came time to choose where to celebrate, we couldn't imagine anywhere more fitting.
